I am constantly looking for ways to see this wonderful world we live in. The trick is doing it on a shoestring. Looking for the camping experience, but with a little more comfort than tenting and sleeping on the ground. Looking for seasonal work in great places that also have employee housing. Welcome blogs and posts from those similarly inclined or who know places to go, things to see and ways to do it
The Osher Lifelong Learning Institute of Yavapai College is sponsoring an evening campfire event on Mingus Mt in Prescott National Forest. We will travel up 89A out of Cottonwood, AZ to Mingus Recreation area past Jerome, AZ to the Playground Group Campground at 5:30 p.m. It has a large fire ring surrounded by many picnic tables, charcoal grills and those towering pine trees! This is for all ages. Call 928 649-4175 to register. Bring a potluck dish to share, water, camp lamps, flashlights, roasting forks, firewood and songs to sing, stories to tell, your guitar, banjo or ukelele for a good old fashioned evening around the campfire. We’ll head back home around 9:00 p.m. I am the facilitator for this fun event.
